Trackpad Repair

Force Touch trackpads rely on a sealed Taptic Engine and precise alignment — a knock or spill can throw both out, even if the surface looks undamaged.

Common Symptoms

Signs you need a trackpad repair

  • Cursor jumps, freezes, or doesn't track smoothly
  • Clicking feels uneven, mushy, or doesn't register at all
  • No haptic feedback (Force Touch models)
  • Trackpad is visibly raised, loose, or cracked
  • Erratic multi-touch gestures or random input
Our Process

How we repair it

  1. Bottom case removal

The lower case is opened to inspect the trackpad cable, connector, and Taptic Engine.

  2. Component swap

The trackpad assembly is replaced and the flex cable reseated or replaced if damaged.

  3. Gesture & click testing

Full gesture, click pressure, and haptic response testing before reassembly.
